About the wine:
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Shiraz (15%). It has a deep ruby-red colour with aromas of red berries, black current and cigar box.
It is a dry, full-bodied wine with medium acidity. The tannins are soft, but firm. It has a velvety mouthfeel and an everlasting finish. A perfect compliment to game dishes or any other juicy red meats.
This Cab Sav is 100% wooded and was matured in 300 liter French oak barrels for a period of 18 months. Of these barrels, 37% were new wood and the remaining 63% from older barrels.
This is a big, bold and beautiful wine that should be enjoyed on special occasions. I think this is also a great wine to drink during winter months in front of a fireplace or in a cozy living room. Highly recommended!
